6. Lazy people are more productive & efficient

Hear me out.

I have been a lazy person since my childhood days. But then I could afford to be lazy, as I have a “mother”. Who would pamper me and basically do all the work that is supposed to be done by me.

Things have changed. I grew up. The world expects me to do my work myself. As obvious it may sound, for lazy people like me, it’s pain in the ass.

What is lazy for me?

For me, I need some time to laze around doing nothing. It’s like my downtime. It can come in the morning after waking up, or just after lunch, or just before leaving for a dinner party, or during a meeting sometimes 😄. But I like to have that freedom to do nothing and just relax.

What this essentially means is that I have less time to do “other” things, compared to non-lazy people. But the world doesn’t understand that and have the same expectations for all. 🤦

Blessing in Disguise

What has happened because of this is remarkable, something that I have realized very recently. 

Since I have to do more work in less time, I have evolved myself to do things faster with higher efficiency. Get more done in less time. That is the only way I can finish all work and still afford to be lazy.

And that is why gradually I have turned out to be an organized productive lazy person. 

• If you designate a place to keep your shoes, you can save time looking for them in the house.
• If you use the calendar to mark your tasks, you won’t have to store that information in your mind all the time and can focus on other things at hand.
• If you buy only what you need and follow minimalism, you won’t have to maintain too many things and can save loads of space & time.
• If you convince yourself that appearance doesn’t matter, you can save time spent in grooming & dressing. 😅

And all that precious saved time can be used where it really matters. To laze around.

Be lazy. Be productive! 😉
