True Story.
Last week I saw my wife’s iPhone lying around without a Phone Case (it broke earlier).
A normal person would move on with their life.
A lazy, minimalist and over-thinking person (me) goes through this cycle:
“The phone can easily break now.
We will have to take the phone for repair.
That means, first finding a shop who repairs and then taking it to them. Work.
They will take a few days to fix. During that time we will need to find a backup phone. Buy from Carousel/OLX? Work.
But the data also needs to be synced. I wonder if it’s backed up now?
What if the phone cannot be repaired?
We will need to buy a new iPhone.
They are expensive. Meaning I will have to work extra to make up this money.
More time in the office and less personal time.
Stress. Unhappiness.
So no phone case → Multiple days of back & forth effort → Less money → More stress → Less happy”
I got up, sufficiently terrified, ordered a temporary Phone Case and went back to being lazy, minimalist…
but peaceful. 🙂
